also sorry just to be clear they were a very prominent ukrainian cossack family but had all their wealth taken when the soviets took over so i dont have any $ or anything lmao our family home is owned by the country as a museum etc (which i love!)
Slava Ukraini! Our family on mother's side fled Ukraine in the last years of tsar Nicholas' oppression but I think they were just small farmers, nothing to leave to a museum lol

Unusually, an ancestor of mine was awarded a sword with a bighorn sheep on the pommel by a ruler of one of the kingdoms in the Himalayan foothills, which is rare enough as that sheep is not endemic to the Himalayas...nevertheless the bighorn sheep has become something of a family crest
