3D animation can give a movie depth and 2D animation, if done right, can give the movie more of a painting like art feel. Both unique in their own way, so no preference for me.

I’m not sure what exactly to call this style, but there’s an episode of the show “Love Death + Robots” that’s called “In the Tall Grass” and the animation style is BEAUTIFUL. (if anyone happens to know the exact name and wouldn’t mind sharing that knowledge with me, I would greatly appreciate it lol

ALL OF IT. But that said, nothing to me beats hand-drawn 2D. I also love stop-motion a lot (think “isle of dogs” & “the fantastic Mr fox”)
2D and stop-motion, those still involve human creators. My daughter is finishing a degree in animation w/specialty in stop-motiin and puppetry, and they're all afraid for their futures because of AI
i honestly think real artistry by humans will prevail in the long run. not only humans, but so many other species on earth create art to express ourselves. it's a huge part of our existence. i personally would never watch a movie, read a book, etc that involved ai because i only consume art bc i 1/2
want to see/hear/read/etc what a human or team of humans created. i know im not alone!!! it's a very gross & scary bubble but i know itll pop (ik the irony bc these games are ai but this isnt the same as a movie or show!!!)
I'm thinking for a minute on this one. I'm fairly certain that 3D movies are the ones you watch with glasses. So I'll say 2D because I hardly watch 3D too much.

I like both styles, but I think 2D is still superior because in all the 3D animation I've seen, they don't have as many "extras" in scenes, leading to a feeling of lifeless worlds. I suppose it's probably more resource intensive to animate in 3D, so extras get the cut.

I care if the movie has a good plot first, and then if the animation looks good. I don't have a preference to the style, as long as the style matches the overall theme of the movie.

Honestly I really like claymation, whichever that is! I think 2d feels more cozy to me but 3d animation is still very well done.
OH, I really love claymation as well, and you guys are probably going to bite my head off, but between you guys and me, I love CGI. I just love the colors and I know it's computer-generated but I just mean it's flawless in my opinion
