No one asked but just wanted to point out that Homecoming is the 1st Spider-Man movie of the MCU and not a sequel. Ok *exits stage left*
I guess you could say it is sort of a sequel to Civil War and The Avengers since the whole Stark plot line is following up on that film and Vulture's motivation and back story are because of the events of The Avengers

Sorry for yelling. Now look, I love the pirates movies, all of them. And yes, the first one is remarkable. But I find the second one to be absolutely hilarious which makes it more fun to watch for me personally. (“I got a jar of dirt I got a jar of dirt and guess what’s inside it!🫀”)
